“With her singularly enticing sound, few contemporary vocalists are as well suited to dustily vintage material as jazz-blues stylist Roberta Donnay.” – Jazz Times

“Emotional and sultry, witty and warm, and everything you could wish to hear in a vocal jazz album. This is a work of extraordinary charm and beauty.”- The Jazz Owl

“Donnay’s engagement with the lyrics, her supple sense of time and her soulful timbre, remind you of Billie Holliday” – The International Herald Tribune

KAY KOSTOPOULOS, is an actress, recording artist, and renowned jazz vocalist from San Francisco. Kay conceived “Black Olive Jazz” from her theatre background and her Mediterranean heritage to establish a unique sound in Jazz. www.blackolivejazz.com

“The lovely Ms. Kostopoulos, whose ageless Mediterranean beauty perfectly complements a show incorporating Greek goddesses… The star makes extensive use of sensuality in her performance. Kay Kostopoulos is a fine performer who will leave you enchanted and informed.  New York is lucky to have her.”… Andrew Portez, Theater Pizzazz, NYC

“The singer, whose background is in theater, wanted to perform dramatic material that could be considered both exotic and modern jazz. The concept works quite well on such pieces as “Bali Hai,” and a slightly spooky “Never Never Land.  Kay Kostopoulos’ perfect pitch allows her to sing wordlessly on the more atmospheric pieces”… Scott Yanow, Los Angeles Jazz Scene.

“Kostopoulos transports the listener to exotic worlds with such numbers as the sensually undulating Bali Hai.” -Pop Culture Classics, Paul Freeman
