Join us for an unforgettable evening of classical brilliance as violin virtuoso Filip Pogady, accompanied by pianist Peter Fancovic, takes you on a mesmerizing journey through musical history. From Corelli to Beethoven, Saint-Saëns to Ravel, this recital promises to be a captivating performance you won’t want to miss!

Violinist Filip Pogády has been praised by the press for the “beauty of his tone”, “lightning-like virtuosity” (Russkoe Slovo) and his “commanding performances” (The New York Times). He has graced prestigious venues worldwide, including Lincoln Center, Rudolphinum Prague, Konzerthaus Vienna, Kamakura Arts Center, Natori Arts Center, Lotte Hall (Seoul), and Seoul Arts Center, among others.

Pogády’s musical journey began with a solo debut at Vienna’s Wiener Konzerthaus at age 11, following his victory at the Tsusuki Violin Competition. He’s a three-time first-prize winner at Austria’s “Prima La Musica” competition, earning special accolades from the Austrian String Society and Raiffeisen Bank.

His dedication led him to earn a Master’s Degree in Violin Performance under Maestro Pinchas Zukerman at the Manhattan School of Music, where he received a full scholarship.

Peter Fancovic, an award-winning pianist, has performed on global stages, earning top honors in competitions like the Czech Republic’s Beethoven Interpretation and Slovakia’s Conservatories Competition. He began his piano journey at Bratislava Conservatory, later receiving a full scholarship to the Manhattan School of Music, where he earned a Master and Bachelor in Piano Performance under Dr. Solomon Mikowsky’s guidance.

Fancovic’s recitals have graced prestigious venues, including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and he’s collaborated internationally. Apart from his solo career, he’s a sought-after chamber music pianist and accompanist. Fancovic’s passion for exploring lesser-known repertoire enriches his concert programs with unique pieces alongside the classics. Born in Bratislava, Slovakia, Pogády began violin studies at age 7 and now resides in New York City.
